Parade Of Ornaments

Greetings!
Today I'm going to share with you some of my Christmas tree ornaments. Not that they are fancy, because they certainly are not. But they are special to me because of who they once belonged to or who gave them to me.

Let's first start with my dad's ornaments, circa 1930's. I grew up with these on our family tree every year. I was so happy when they were passed down to me as I have wonderful memories of them. The little drum always  captivated me. I'd stand in front of our tree as a little girl just staring at it, I thought it was so pretty.

From the fabulous 50's!

I'm sneaking in one that belongs to my husband. He has had Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer since he was a boy in the 60's. Rudy is so old that his red nose is no longer there! He's a cutie and I always like putting him on the tree.

So 70's!

Early 80's. My husband gave this one to me and
it has had a special spot on the tree for 31 years.

More from the 80's. These two were stiched by me.

This one was a gift from my daughter a few years ago.

And finally, a mercury glass ornament I picked up at Target last year.

These aren't all of my most special ornaments, just a few.

Which of your ornaments mean the most to you?

  2. I love that you have ornaments from so many decades and they're all in such great condition. I have several that my children made for me, but they aren't out this year, I only have two tiny trees out instead of the four foot one that I usually put up.
    Have a happy week!
